I created this Wattle Flowers digital paint-by-numbers artwork over a long weekend during a particularly cold winter spell. Outside, the days felt grey and chilly, but the warm yellows and soft greens of the wattle gave me something bright and cheerful to focus on.

Inspired by Australian wattle

Golden wattle is one of Australia’s most recognisable native flowers. Its clusters of small yellow blooms bring warmth and colour to the landscape, particularly when they appear during the cooler months.

That contrast became part of what I enjoyed most about colouring this piece. While winter settled in outside, the artwork gradually became brighter with every section I completed.

A real digital colouring experience

From colouring activity to digital art

Once I finished colouring the Wattle Flowers artwork, I displayed it on my Samsung Frame TV. I love that the finished piece can continue to be enjoyed after the colouring process is complete, whether it is displayed on a digital frame, printed for your home or kept in your personal digital art collection.

For me, this artwork became more than a weekend activity. It now brings a little golden warmth into the room whenever it appears on the screen.
